Festival of Trees

What it is:

The Festival of Trees at Illumination brings the holiday spirit and good-will together. Local nonprofits and organizations decorate beautifully themed Christmas trees which line the first-base line of the ballpark. Guests can vote for their favorite tree by making a donation (typically $1) via QR code with proceeds split between the chosen charity and IronPigs Charities. It’s a fun-for-all feature where you can admire creative tree designs, take memorable holiday photos, and support the Lehigh Valley community — all under the glow of more than a million and a half lights

Why it matters:

• It adds a community-giving dimension to a fun holiday event: instead of just looking at lights, guests get to support local nonprofits while choosing a favorite tree.
• It encourages local engagement: sponsoring organizations invest in decorating and use it as a spotlight for their cause.
• It enhances the visual and interactive experience of Illumination: not only are there synchronized light shows, rides, and activities, but the decorated trees offer an additional layer of artistry and purpose.

How it works:

• As you walk through the Illumination event, you’ll see a row or area of decorated trees.
• To vote, you scan a QR code and make the donation. Your vote is applied to the tree and the charity tied to it.
• At the end of the event (January 2026), the tree with the most votes is recognized and the funds are distributed accordingly.
